At Discover Soft Tissue + Spine, care starts with evaluation. Dr. Eric Lambert looks at how muscles, joints, soft tissue, and nerves are working together so treatment is based on what appears to be limiting movement — not a generic routine.
Dr. Eric Lambert is a licensed chiropractor in Michigan and the founder and clinic director of Discover Soft Tissue + Spine in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1998 and has more than 25 years of experience helping people with musculoskeletal injuries, chronic tightness, stiffness, pain, and movement limitations.
Early in his career, Dr. Lambert became the first provider in Michigan to offer Active Release Techniques® and was one of the earliest full-body and nerve-certified ART practitioners in the state. That experience helped shape his transition into more precise soft tissue care.
Today, his approach is diagnosis first. Rather than simply treating where it hurts, he evaluates how muscles, joints, soft tissue, and nerves are working together to identify the main mechanical restriction driving the problem. He is formally certified in Integrative Diagnosis®, a system that combines advanced diagnostic testing with Manual and Instrument Adhesion Release®.
Since 2024, Dr. Lambert has continued advanced training in Adhesion Release Methods and Shockwave Therapy to further refine his evaluation and treatment of soft tissue restriction, adhesion, chronic tightness, and recurring musculoskeletal pain.
Recurring pain, tightness, stiffness, or limited movement often needs more than temporary relief. Dr. Lambert evaluates measurable restrictions and determines whether soft tissue adhesion, joint limitation, nerve irritation, or movement dysfunction may be contributing.
This approach is designed for patients who have already tried stretching, massage, chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy, or exercise but still feel like something is not moving the way it should.
Experience matters when symptoms have been present for months or years and previous care has not fully resolved the problem.
We do not start with a routine adjustment or generic soft tissue session. We evaluate movement, restriction, symptoms, and clinical fit first.
Our care focuses on soft tissue restriction, adhesion, nerve-related symptoms, and movement limitations when those findings appear clinically relevant.
If your condition appears to fit our care, we explain the findings and recommended plan. If it does not, we tell you and refer when appropriate.
Local care with a focused approach
At Discover Soft Tissue + Spine, we believe better treatment starts with better evaluation.
Many patients come to our office after trying other care but still feeling tight, stiff, limited, or in pain. Often, the problem is not just where the pain is felt. It is the restriction underneath it. That is why we evaluate how muscles, joints, soft tissue, and nerves are working together instead of focusing on symptoms alone.
Our approach is designed to find the true mechanical problem and treat it with precision. In some cases, that means identifying soft tissue restrictions, adhesion, or nerve-related issues that may be limiting movement and slowing recovery. We then recheck movement and function so patients can see what changed.
For patients who want a more thorough, hands-on, diagnosis-driven approach, that difference matters.
See how our approach goes beyond a typical joint-only treatment model.
We help people who want a more thorough and more specific approach to musculoskeletal care. That includes patients dealing with chronic tightness, stiffness, limited mobility, recurring pain, nerve-related symptoms, and old injuries that never fully resolved.
We also help active adults, athletes, and people who simply want to move better and avoid letting small problems turn into bigger ones. Whether your goal is daily comfort, exercise, work performance, or getting back to activities you enjoy, the focus is the same: find what is limiting you and treat it with precision.
Your first visit is designed to do more than confirm that you hurt. We look at how you move, where you are restricted, and what tissues may be driving the problem. From there, we build a treatment plan based on your findings, your goals, and your response to care.
If you have already tried other treatment without lasting improvement, that does not automatically mean your condition is permanent. It may mean the real driver of the problem has not been identified yet.
Discover Soft Tissue + Spine is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and serves patients from across West Michigan who are looking for a more specialized approach to muscles, joints, nerves, and soft tissue restriction.
If pain, tightness, stiffness, limited motion, numbness, tingling, or radiating symptoms keep returning, the next step is a focused evaluation. We will review your history, examine how you move, and determine whether care at Discover Soft Tissue + Spine makes sense.
